Picot Bind Off
This may look and sound complicated, but I promise that if you’ve not done this before you will get the hang of it very quickly. There is a great video tutorial here if you need some extra help.
Slip the right hand needle into the first stitch on the left hand needle as if to knit, but then cast on 2 additional stitches before that first stitch. Bind off next 4 stitches. Now *slip the last stitch worked back onto the left hand needle. Cast on 2 additional stitches at the beginning again. Bind off next 4 stitches.* Repeat from * to* until the end of the row. Finish off, leaving a 10 inch tail.
Using the long tail left at the top of the mitt, sew side seam of bath mitt, around thumb and to the top of the ruffle. If you are making a single color mitt and have enough yarn seam the ruffle as well. If not, use the tail left over at the end of the ruffle to seam that part of the mitt. Weave in ends.
Happy Knitting!
Pretty cool.
